TimeLogger 2.2.0 update approved

costmo — Thu, 02/10/2011 - 01:18

TimeLogger version 2.2.0 has been approved by Apple. For some odd reason, the Free version is stuck in Apple's approval queue (good reason to just purchase the full version?).

Among other things, this version adds support for audio recording of voice notes! Check out the User Guide on the TimeLogger page for the full details of what TimeLogger can do. Or click "Read more" below to see the full list of changes.

New Features

* The ability to record audio notes! Don't want to type your notes? Now you don't have to!

New Discussion Forum Available Now!

costmo — Wed, 01/19/2011 - 14:48

As previously noted, we had to shut down our hosted discussion forums due to spam.

We decided to take the plunge and open a new discussion group at Google Groups.

Anyone can search and view all posts to the group, but you will need to become a member of the group to post new messages. Becoming a member is easy, so click the "GROUPS" link at the top of this page to get started.

You can still use the "contact" page to reach us personally, and be sure to follow us on Twitter for the latest updates.

One more note for the night

costmo — Wed, 01/19/2011 - 01:35

Our previous hosting company inexplicably disabled a service that rendered password recovery in our iPad apps broken. Unfortunately, their tech support was less than useful and could never even figure out how to properly contact a system administrator to see what change had been made.

The good news is that we have made the jump to a new hosting provider, so the password recovery mechanism should start working again immediately.

Who knew that good money could pay for such lousy service and great service could be obtained for so little? I do now!

Spammer's Rule

costmo — Wed, 01/19/2011 - 01:08

Well now... We can no longer keep up with the spam that gets posted to our comments and forums (and requiring a login didn't slow it down much), so we have to temporarily remove the ability to post comments on our site and we have shut down our forums.

When we can either figure out a suitable solution to keeping spam at bay or we can devote a staff member to monitoring the web site, we will restore these features. Until then, if you have questions, please click the "contact" link above to reach us.

Thank you for your understanding!

TimeLogger stability issues in iOS 4.1?

costmo — Wed, 09/29/2010 - 11:43

Several people have brought to our attention the fact that they are having stability issues with TimeLogger in the latest iOS.

Generally speaking, folks have reported the problem going away or greatly diminishing after a device reboot.

We are investigating the possible causes and will have a solution pushed as soon as we are comfortable that we have addressed the source of the problem. We are simultaneously working on an iOS 4.2 version so that issues like this will be much less likely to pop up when iOS 4.2 hits devices in November. (click "Read more" below)

New web site posting policy

costmo — Wed, 09/15/2010 - 17:59

Due to a sudden deluge of spam, we can no longer accept the submission of comments or forum posts from users who are not logged in to the site.

Unfortunately, this means that you have to register for an account to take part in the comments and forums. Sorry. We don't have hours to spend every day to clean spam from the site. We have to choose between dealing with spam or developing apps, and we choose the latter.

If you do not wish to register for an account and have questions or suggestions or you need help, please use our contact form.

Thank you!

Spam Spam Spam Spam

costmo — Tue, 09/14/2010 - 13:13

Our forums and our emails have been inundated with massive amounts of SPAM over the past few weeks.

We have a very small number of staff members, so interruptions like that tend to throw off our feng shui.

We are working to get caught up over the next few days, so if you are waiting for a response from us, hang on for a little bit longer. If you think that we have missed you, please send us a friendly reminder.

light.APP now avaialable!

costmo — Tue, 07/20/2010 - 16:38

It took 11 hours and 10 minutes to code, and 11 days to get Apple to give it the thumbs up, but light.APP is now live in the App Store!

It's a simple app, and you can get all the information you would ever want about it from one or both of these links, so check 'em out:
